In the last couple of weeks, it’s been a whirlwind of travel and fun. I went to 4 different states in 3 weeks: one for fun, one for work, one just because, and one I call home these days. I’ll add another one next week as well, then off to my other home for Thanksgiving! So, here’s a little but of life lately…
Orlando, Florida
Originally, I was supposed to go home in September, but I had to cancel due to IVF conflicts. As it turns out, Hurricane Ian decided to visit at the same time, so I guess it all worked out. The plan was to just go back home for Thanksgiving, but an email came through that changed it all! I subscribe to The Daily Drop, a daily email with different travel hacks, that told me about Frontier’s one-day-only 100% off deal. Yeah… 100% off! So, I immediately jumped on Frontier’s website and booked a visit home for $75!
Time FLEW by and I took very few pictures, but it included quality time with my parents, the best boba and mexican in the world, traditional Friday night dinner with my brother, Sea World Halloween trick or treating, all you can eat Korean BBQ, birthday celebration for my sister-in-law at Kobe’s Steakhouse, family pictures, and the best day with my mom (which included wine tasting and shopping!)

Phoenix, Arizona
After an amazing week in Orlando, I went back to Colorado for a good night’s sleep in my own bed, and then back to the airport bright and early for a work trip to Phoenix, Arizona! I work remotely for Twin Health, a techology healthcare company that is focused on reversing diabetes! Once a year, the company hosts TwinFest, where everyone can get together to meet/see each other, and learn about the accomplishments and future of the company.

It was a quick trip and I didn’t pull out my camera much, but it was so awesome to meet people in person that you see on Zoom so often. I also got to meet the founder of Twin, Jahangir Mohammed, and one of the Board Members, Kevin Johnson (former CEO of Starbucks). It was incredible to see the vision of Twin Health. The trip was so much better than expected and I can’t wait to go again next year!
Boulder, Colorado
After Arizona, I came home and got back into the swing of things, but the week brought a fun surprise: SNOW!! As a true Floridian, I had seen snow, but never lived in snow, so I really didn’t want to miss the first snow of the season. We got more snow than projected (about 6 inches!) and it was truly a winter wonderland. I must admit, cold weather is so much better when you have the proper clothing!
I could post dozens of pictures, but I’m sure you’ve all seen snow before…

Cheyenne, Wyoming
Lastly, Charles and I went to Cheyenne, Wyoming! We only live about 1.5 hours away and we had no plans, so we decided to check it out. It was quite the ride, literally! Colorado and Wyoming had some crazy intense winds and we passed 2 overturned semi-trucks!

When we weren’t dodging semis, we had a lot of fun! The botanical gardens had a dia de los Muertos (day of the dead) festival, which was informative and beautiful. We then headed to lunch where Charles got a Bison burger which did not disappoint, and we walked around downtown Cheyenne. We then had plans to go to a ranch and see some bison, but the winds were just too high for the train to go out. So, we found some on the side of the road! I know they look small in my picture, but they are MASSIVE and I didn’t trust the electric fence to save us if they didn’t like us. Overall, it was a fun, quick little trip!

It’s been a fun couple of weeks! Next up: Michigan for an early Christmas then Florida for Thanksgiving!
